The Embassy Suites is located just off
Bruton Smith Blvd, about 1 mile south of
I-85 exit 49. It is an all suite hotel, with
rooms sleeping a minimum of 4 persons. The
hotel has indoor swimming facilities and a
workout room. Each evening from 5:30PM to
7:00PM they have a manager’s reception with
light snacks and beverages. A morning made
to order breakfast is part of the room rate.
A restaurant is on the premises. The room
rate will be available for two days prior
and after for those wishing to visit in the
begin late Friday afternoon. After the
managers reception (for those staying at the
hotel) attendees can go to
dinner. A hospitality suite will be open in
the evening. Separate men’s and women’s
business meeting will be held on Saturday.
There will be a Shamrock and a Major degree
for the men in the afternoon followed by Mass
later Saturday afternoon. A buffet banquet
with entertainment is planned for Saturday
evening. The hospitality suite will be
opened after the banquet.
The hotel is adjacent to the Rocky River
Golf Course. While no formal golfing event
is planned, if enough people are interested
we could arrange a set of tee times on
Friday AM. We will attempt to get a reduced
rate. The hotel is also 1 mile from
Charlotte Motor Speedway. A tour is
available for a fee of $8.00. The tour
includes a ride around the track
Concord Mills Shopping center is
approximately 1 ½ miles north of the hotel.
This is billed as the largest outlet mall in
the state. It hosts many national stores.
The area around the mall houses many
restaurants, including many of the casual
dining national chains. The hotel provides a
shuttle to nearby venues.
We will be about 20 miles from center
city Charlotte. This area houses many
attractions to include the NASCAR Hall of
Fame, Levine Museum of the New South and
Discovery Place. All charge a fee, less than
$20.00 to enter.

visit to the area, as well as providing
members of your party who are not AOH/LAOH
member’s activities while you are in the
